Francesco Bagnaia zegevierde in de koningsklasse van de MotoGP en maakte daarmee een succesvol weekend op zijn thuiscircuit compleet. De Italiaanse coureur vervolgde de sprintzege van zaterdag en verstevigde zijn voorsprong in de tussenstand van het kampioenschap met zijn derde overwinning van het seizoen. Hij heeft nu 21 punten voorsprong op zijn landgenoot Marco Bezecchi.
